Course Description: This course covers the structure, reactivity, and synthesis of alkanes, alkenes, alkynes, alkyl halides, alcohols, and aromatic species.

Textbook: “Organic Chemistry” 5th Ed. by Janice Gorzynski Smith

Supplementary Textbook“Organic Chemistry” 9th Ed. by John McMurry.

Class: TTh 10:30-12:00

Class Lecture Hall: E11 (Creative Learning Building) Terman Hall.

Practice Class
- Selected practice problems and concepts from the class will be discussed.
- Interactive Q&A sessions.

Class A (TA: Sanghyeon Lee): Wed 19:00-20:00. E6-4 #3130 (students with odd number student ID, flexible)

Class B (TA: Jinwon Jeon): Thr 19:00-20:00. E6-4 #3130 (students with even number student ID or non-native Korean speakers, flexible)

  • Exam 1: 30%
  • Exam 2: 30%
  • Exam 3: 30%
  • Attendance: 10%
